Stuyvesant Yacht Club's Junior Sailing Program is entering its 9th year. It is designed to teach basic and advanced sailing to students ages 7 through 16, with the older students encouraged to participate in local regattas.

The school operates Mondays through Thursdays, in 2 consecutive, independent sessions of 3 weeks each.

This year, several improvements have been made:

  • Hours have been extended to 6 hours daily: 9am - 3pm.
  • A 4th US Sailing certified instructor has been added to the staff.
  • Due to a number of requests, this year we will also offer sailing lessons to interested parents. These will be given on Thursdays during the summer sessions and will be given by Tim Longo, Director of the Program, using a Club owned boat.
